Basic Policy on Sustainability
The SHINDEN HIGHTEX Group defines its code of conduct as its motto and Code of Behavior. The Group's basic policy is to pursue sustainable growth and the development of the Group through efforts to focus on increasing sales of products that contribute to the protection of the environment and to address issues related to the environment, society and corporate governance (ESG) while managing risks that it classifies as strategic or operational risks. SHINDEN HIGHEX believes this enables it to contribute to the improvement of the global environment and society (the resolution of sustainability issues).
The Group's sustainability initiatives are disclosed in our corporate governance report (The .PDF file is typically updated in late June and mid-November every year.).

Risk Management
Classify business risks into the following two categories and manage these risks.
- Strategic Risks
- Risks that we choose to take to achieve sound business results through the formulation and implementation of business strategies
- Operational Risk
- Risks that should be controlled to below a certain level in business operations stated in terms of the potential amount of damage and likelihood of occurrence

- Initiatives to achieve and maintain ISO 14001 certification
- Chemical substance management (management of prohibited chemicals and substances of environmental concern)

- Respect for human rights (responsible mineral sourcing within the Company's supply chain)
